The Tibetan Mastiff is also known as Dogskhyi (Tibet Language). It is one of top 10 guard dog.Used to Guard Village, Tent,Monasteries and other guard needed place.In early ages this dog used to tied outside the tent or inside boundaries for guarding purpose.And at night human used to untied and guard the properties.this breed is very loyal to there owners.

The name Tibetan Mastiff is a missioner,The Tibetan Mastiff is not a true Mastiff.The name Mastiff was given by Europeans.

Temperament

This dog breed is a livestock guardian dog.It uses all the livestock guardian tactics ex. Stubborn,Aloof, Intelligent,Strong Willed,Protective. Barking,Scent marking.To warn the trespassers and to avoid direct contact the both it self and trespassers.

History

In the early 20th Century, King George V introduced one pair of Tibetan Mastiff and Breed were available in England in 1906 to be shown at The Crystal Palace dog show.After 1980 this breed
began to gain in popularity World Wide level. Then various breeders showed in Dog show of American Kennel Club
and Federation Cynologique International.
